One app, 100+ guides and training courses for professionals, children and young people. No other education technology company is able to provide this combination of Virtual School technology and resources for every target group supported by Virtual Schools.

We've made apps for 50+ Virtual Schools around the country.

Training and guidance for everyone

With Anspear you can provide targeted training libraries to everyone involved with the Virtual School, helping them stay informed and confident in their role. Branded app

Virtual Schools can opt to have their own custom branded app through which users can access their tailored resources.

Custom guides

Need to guide young people or professionals on your work or on services in your area? We'll turn your material into interactive guides for the app.

Certificated pathways

Learners completing our learning pathways for DTs and Social Workers receive a digital certificate from the University of Buckingham.

How it works

Choose your target audience

We work with you to assess your needs and identify groups of learners that we can help. Then we can devise collections of courses, pathways and custom guides to help you reach your goals.

Develop custom app and guides

We use your Virtual School's logo and brand to create your very own app for the web and app stores. We also get to work converting any additional learning material you have into short, interactive guides for the app.

Invite users to join the app

We'll help you contact your target users and introduce them to the app and its benefits. We'll ensure they can register or log into the app as smoothly as possible.

Support and monitoring

Our relationship doesn't end there. We'll stay on the pulse of your learning programme, monitoring usage and collecting evidence of impact. We'll support you and your users through the duration of the programme.

Evidence of impact

Our app provides powerful data to help understand how and when users interact with the VS guidance and training materials.

Detailed reports

Pupil voice

We’re making exciting progress with Virtual Schools across the country through our nationwide project to capture pupil voice data – particularly from Children in Need (CiN) and those on Child Protection (CP) plans. The insights we’re gathering are helping to highlight key challenges and guide targeted support for professionals taking on extended roles. With over 10,000 pupil responses collected so far, we’re helping local authorities better understand and respond to the concerns of children with a social worker.

Readiness for learning

Readiness for Learning (RfL) is a single score calculated from the responses each child gives to the survey. It provides an overall indication of their wellbeing and preparedness for academic progress. RfL is designed to be a quick way to identify pupils who may require intervention.

In-depth analysis

By comparing the RfL indices of different groups of pupils (by gender, ethnic groups, attendance levels, FSM pupils, children in care and special educational needs), schools build up a detailed picture of vulnerable groups, the problems that they face and how targeted interventions could help.
