The Pupil Perceptions survey is a powerful diagnostic tool to help you understand more about your pupils' readiness for learning. It provides insights into the health of your school and the concerns, wellbeing and safeguarding issues that might be affecting learning.
Evaluate the overall health of your school, pick up important safeguarding issues, raise attainment and improve pupil wellbeing.
Exercise the strategic role extension by using the Pupil Perceptions data to understand the experiences of children with a social worker and children in care.
Using this system, we were able to collect data that started to give us some answers that we'd never ever seen before from our students. Information is very accessible and all staff have been able to use the data very quickly.
Pupil Perceptions is a simple, user friendly survey, taken by pupils online. It takes 15-25 minutes to complete and no installation is required. Completed by almost 500,000 pupils to date.
Readiness for Learning (RfL) is a single score calculated from the responses each child gives to the survey. It provides an overall indication of their wellbeing and preparedness for academic progress. RfL is designed to be a quick way to identify pupils who may require intervention.
By comparing the RfL indices of different groups of pupils (by gender, ethnic groups, attendance levels, FSM pupils, children in care and special educational needs), schools build up a detailed picture of vulnerable groups, the problems that they face and how targeted interventions could help.
This programme provides a way of identifying why children were not making progress, identifying their barriers to learning, so we can address them and help them to overcome them.
1. Match each pupil to a unique password login, so no personal data can leave the school.
2. Pupils each log in to the survey URL with their unique password.
3. The online survey should take 15-25 minutes to complete.
4. Receive a full analysis of responses in a package of PDF and Excel reports.
